THE SOCIAL MEDIA CLUB OF CACHE VALLEY IS STARTING A NEW SERIES OF MEETINGS.
The new season kicks off with “tweet-ups” at Café Sabor
LOGAN, Utah – The Social Media Club of Cache Valley will begin holding meetings the second Tuesday night of every month at Borders. Café Sabor has agreed to host every third meeting, sometimes giving out free appetizers or drinks. This week they have all you can eat chip and dip for $10, along with door prizes to celebrate the new school year.
“We usually go dark in the summer when all the university students seem to drift away, so we wanted to light up our schedule with a big event at Café Sabor,” said Preston Parker, president of the SMCCV.
The SMCCV encourages people from all backgrounds, from moms and grandmas looking to start a blog to tradesmen looking to promote their own small business. The club invites everyone to bring their laptop and share ideas with one another in a fun and casual environment. The SMCCV also plans on bringing in experts to give presentations or to join a panel discussion.
The Social Media Club is a hands-on organization which started in 2005 in San Francisco with the goal of teaching others how to use social media. Parker and two others founded the Cache Valley chapter in 2009.
